We collect information directly from dental practitioners, clinics, and authorized healthcare providers ("Clients"), as well as visitors to our website and social media channels:
Client Business & Contact Information: Name, practice name, ABN/registration details, professional registration number, email address, phone number, billing address, and shipping address.
Patient Health & Technical Data (Sensitive Information): Patient identifiers (name or code), digital oral scans (STL/PLY files), physical impressions, clinical photographs, shade information, and prescription details (Rx) provided by Clients for the sole purpose of fabricating custom dental restorations (fixed/removable restorations, orthodontics, 3D printed models).
Website & Communication Data: IP addresses, cookie data, and details submitted via contact forms or social media lead forms (e.g., Facebook/Instagram Lead Ads).
2. Purpose of Collection & Use
We collect and use your information strictly for the following business purposes:
To manufacture, process, and deliver custom dental restorations and products ordered by Clients;
To communicate with Clients regarding orders, technical queries, quotes, and customer support;
To send operational updates, invoices, and relevant product/service news (Clients may opt-out of marketing communications at any time);
To comply with legal, regulatory, and quality assurance requirements for medical devices and custom prosthetics.
3. Overseas Disclosure of Information (APP 8 / PDPA)
To deliver high-quality and cost-effective custom dental prosthetics, Baikon Dental Laboratory operates a cross-border supply chain:
Management & Administration (Singapore): Administrative, billing, and system management operations are processed in Singapore.
Manufacturing Facilities: Digital scans, design files, Rx instructions, and required patient identifiers are securely transferred to our dedicated manufacturing and technician facility, solely for the physical fabrication and quality control of your custom orders.
Service Providers: We may use trusted cloud storage, logistics/courier services, and IT providers (e.g., Meta Platforms for advertising leads) located in Singapore, Australia, or other secure jurisdictions.
Data Safeguards for Overseas Transfer:
We take all reasonable steps to ensure that any overseas recipient handles personal and health information with strict confidentiality and security measures that provide a standard of protection comparable to Australia's APPs and Singapore's PDPA.
4. Client Responsibility (Patient Consent)
Clients (dental practitioners/clinics) acting as the primary data controllers are responsible for ensuring that they have obtained all necessary patient consents under applicable privacy and health records legislation prior to transferring any patient health data or digital scans to Baikon Dental Laboratory for manufacturing.
5. Data Security & Retention (APP 11)
We implement robust technical and organizational security measures to protect information against loss, misuse, unauthorized access, disclosure, or alteration:
Digital transfers (STL files and order details) are encrypted via secure protocols (HTTPS/TLS).
Access to patient data is strictly restricted to authorized technical staff involved in the fabrication process.
Information is retained only for as long as required to fulfill manufacturing, quality control, warranty, and legal/regulatory record-keeping obligations, after which it is securely deleted or anonymized.
6. Access, Correction & Your Rights (APP 12 & 13)
You have the right to request access to the personal information we hold about you and to request corrections if it is inaccurate or out of date.
